Yes, we know - the name doesn't seem to mean much. For us though FliteHaus isn't so much about having a name that implies what we do, but more who we are.

The Company was originally named Graphic Visions by Susan, when she started the company as a one woman design studio. Graphic design was the only service she offered but she was successful based purely on design talent.

Jay (Susan's husband) joined her in the Firm a few years later and with his addition website design was added to the mix of design services Susan was offering. At this point the Company was a home based business, which quickly overtook the house and had to move.

We took on a small (and not too pretty) office in Winter Park and hired a couple of young designers as word-of-mouth spread. As we began to grow the name Graphic Visions just started to feel dated and limiting to only offering graphic design services.

We started kicking around new names for the Company and agreed that we wanted a name that really didn't imply what we did and therefore didn't limit what we could eventually add as the Company grew.

It all came down to Jay and Susan sitting in a small airport in Bozeman, Montana (coming home from snowboarding Big Sky of course) and passing time by kicking around Company names. Susan and Jay have always loved travel and really liked the idea of an airport. An airport is not just a place to catch a flight, but a jumping off point for a new adventure. You start out at one place and often find yourself somewhere wonderful and completely unexpected.

That really captured the essence of what we wanted to offer our clients - a jumping off point that would take them and their companies to new territories.

Since, FliteHaus has added a 3rd Principal Partner - Beth Krauklis to the Team and moved to a much finer location in Winter Park, Florida. Beth brings a wealth of strategic marketing and advertising experience to the table and has been instrumental in the addition of new services.

FliteHaus is the name that we decided would capture a bit of that airport - adventure feel. Hopefully, anyone that reads this page will appreciate our insight and join us for their next adventure.
